Helping people get their lives back from doomscrolling with the WisePhone and the Healthy Tech Index.
Techless builds simple, distraction-free technology that helps individuals and families live more intentionally in a digital world. Its flagship product, the Wisephone, is a minimalist smartphone that keeps just the essentials so users can stay connected without getting lost in the noise of modern tech; a live counter on the company's site tracks the hundreds of millions of "lifehours" it says users have reclaimed. The company grew out of founder Chris Kaspar's experience fostering children, after a social worker warned against letting the kids have a cell phone, and the Wisephone was launched as a tool to reset people's relationship with technology.
Beyond the Wisephone, Techless lists solutions such as Techless Mobile and Town Detox and is developing Sage, a kid-friendly phone for families in the UK and Europe that pairs simple connection with parental controls. It works with like-minded healthy-tech partners, including the Healthy Tech Index, and is backed by investors including Eagle Venture Fund and Praxis.
